# Which blockchains have tokenized stocks on them?

> Five, as far as we can read: Robinhood Chain, Ethereum, BNB Chain, Solana and Base. Which issuer chose which, and what that means for checking a token.

Five chains carry the tokenized stocks this site tracks. Four are EVM chains and one
is not, and that split has practical consequences for anyone trying to verify a token.

Below is the map, with the reasoning we can see behind it. Where we would be guessing at
motive we say so, because an issuer's reason for picking a chain is the issuer's to
state and mostly they have not stated it.

## The five, as of 14 Aug 2026

**Robinhood Chain** carries 194 listings, all from Robinhood, and nothing else. It is
an EVM chain, read through Blockscout.

**Solana** carries 82 listings: 75 from Ondo Global Markets and 7 from Backed through
xStocks. It is the only non-EVM chain here.

**Ethereum** carries 75 listings: 60 from Ondo Global Markets and 15 from Backed
through xStocks.

**BNB Chain** carries 60 listings, all from Ondo Global Markets. Read through BscScan.

**Base** carries 20 listings, all from Dinari. EVM, read through Blockscout.

## The pattern that stands out

Three of the five chains have exactly one issuer on them. Solana and Ethereum are
shared, both by the same pair: Ondo and Backed.

That points at something about how this category is developing: issuers mostly did not
start out choosing a chain in order to be near each other, and Robinhood went furthest
by running its own - but the shared chains are where a second issuer has since turned
up. We would not read a ranking into any of this, and neither should you. A chain
with one issuer is neither better nor worse than a shared one, and the number of
listings on a chain is a fact about that issuer's catalogue rather than about the chain.

## Why the verification test differs by issuer and chain

Robinhood and Ondo deploy their EVM tokens behind a proxy with a beacon pointing at an
implementation contract. That gives you a strong verification test: a lookalike token
can copy a symbol, but it cannot get itself pointed at by the issuer's beacon. Ondo
also keeps an allowlist contract that answers whether an address is theirs, which is a
second independent check.

The other tokens have no beacon to test. Solana tokens are Token-2022 mints with no
proxy at all, and Backed's Ethereum tokens and Dinari's Base tokens are checked a
different way: by matching the address against the issuer's own published list.

This is why we say which test applies to which chain. A chain where a beacon test is
unavailable is a chain where a different check is the one you have.

## Chain is a facet, never a gate

Nothing on this site makes you pick a chain before you can see a stock. There is no
chain switcher in the way, and the chain is printed on a token as a fact rather than
offered as a choice.

The reason is that Person B does not have a chain preference and should not be required
to invent one. Someone who arrived asking "is AAPL on chain" needs the answer rather
than a menu. The chain pages exist for the reader who arrived already asking about a
specific chain, which is a real reader, just not the first one.

## Where to look

[The chains matrix](/chains) maps every stock to the chains it is on. Each chain has
its own page:
[Robinhood Chain](/chains/robinhood-chain),
[Ethereum](/chains/ethereum),
[BNB Chain](/chains/bnb-chain),
[Solana](/chains/solana) and
[Base](/chains/base).
[/developers/contracts](/developers/contracts) has every address we track, grouped by
chain.

Counts change as issuers list more stocks. Every figure above carries the date this was
written, and the chain pages carry the timestamp of the last read.

## Frequently asked questions

### Which blockchains have tokenized stocks on them?

Five, as far as this site can read: Robinhood Chain, Ethereum, BNB Chain, Solana and Base. Four are EVM chains and Solana is not.

### Which chain has the most tokenized stocks?

Counting listings, Robinhood Chain carries 194 and Solana 82, but that is a fact about each issuer's catalogue rather than about the chain. Robinhood runs its own chain and lists everything on it; Ondo splits its catalogue across three.

### Does the chain change how I check a token is real?

Yes. Robinhood and Ondo deploy behind a proxy with a beacon, so those addresses can be tested against the issuer's own beacon. The other checks are matching the address against the issuer's published list, which is the test for Backed's and Dinari's tokens and for every Token-2022 mint on Solana.
